Eric grew up loving to play sports, at the age of Twelve He picked up Tennis and has never looked back. A Graduate of Dixie High School Eric lead the Flyers at #1 singles winning Region two years straight and leading Dixie to their first ever State Championship. Eric was Ranked in the top #3 in Utah as a Junior. Eric began his teaching career at the Vic Braden Tennis college over 10 years ago. Sense then Eric spent time in Florida training and playing Futures tennis tournaments on the USTA Pro Circuit. Eric then spent 2 years at the University of Nevada Las Vegas playing singles and doubles for the Rebels.
Eric was the Director of Tennis at the Vail Racquet Club in Vail, CO for 4 years. working with and training many of the top juniors and adults in the area. Hosting a number of USTA sanctioned tournaments including one of the largest Open prize money events in Colorado.
In 2004 Eric went back to school and graduated from BYU-Hawaii with a degree in Exercise and Sports Science and a Minor in Information Systems. While finishing school at BYU-H Eric worked as an Assistant Coach under Dave Porter former President of USPTA, helping with both the Men's and Women's Tennis Team. The Women's Tennis team has captured the national championship in NCAA II 6 out of the last 8 years.
Eric is excited to be back in St. George as the new Head Coach of the Dixie State College Women's Tennis Team. Tennis is alive and doing well in St. george and a College Tennis Team is something St. George has needed and looked forward to for a very long time.
